Dog Torturer Michael Vick: 'I Wouldn't Change Anything In My Life If I Could'
Edited on Fri Apr-15-11 05:52 PM by onehandle
Michael Vick, who served 18 months in prison and two months of home confinement after pleading guilty to running a dogfighting operation, said that he wouldn't change anything about his past.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, the Philadelphia Eagles star quarterback said he is happy with who he turned out to be.

"I wouldn't change anything about my life if I could," he said. "As crazy as this may sound, going to prison really changed my life. I was able to go in and come out with a plan."

He also addressed his critics and said that some people will never forget what he did, but "that's just the reality of the situation" he created for himself.

I can't believe that people think this sadistic freak has repented.

1. I read this differently...
It seems to me that going to prison was a good thing for him. He became a better person as a result.

3. I doubt it,
he's just learned to hide his bad side better.

4. I was making millions, I got caught torturing dogs, and now I am making millions again.
It's a 'feel good story.'

Not so much for the dogs.

8. I'm not saying he learned his lesson...
I'm in no position to judge one way or the other.

That is just my interpretation of what he is saying.

20. That's my impression, also.

In his interview, also, he at least seems to be fairly contrite and reflective about his experiences. He goes on to talk about maturing and learning as a result of his experience in prison. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, especially since he's served his time.

2. The man is a vile douchebag. Always will be.
Soon, folks will be along to talk of his "redemption"

Or maybe this gives them a clue.

5. I always think that people who have absolutely no regrets
and would change nothing, even if they could, are crazy or lying. I realize that I have learned from every mistake that I have made, and I can say my mistakes have shaped me, but there are some things in all lives that are regrettable. Who is the person who would not change a thing???

6. And as usual, not a thought about the victims of his violence.
What a sociopath.

7. He would have changed one thing about his life
He wouldn't have gotten caught.

Other than that...

9. Classic sociopath--master of lies and charm
He has zero remorse for the suffering he caused to innocent creatures.

No guilt over the thrill he found in violent torture.

Not a word about what it felt like as he listened to the screams of agony that he caused.

Couldn't care less about watching the light go out in those poor animals' eyes as he tortured them to death.

FUCKING MEDIA REPORTS HIS SIDE OF THE STORY and not a WORD about the REALITY OF WHAT HE DID< AND ENJOYED>

burn in hell you shit munching prick.

14. Did he say specifically who he wanted to hurt next time?
Because he'd have to hurt SOMEONE to be able to repeat his life exactly as it is.

15. I realize this is just a short blurb of an article, but UGH!
Michael Vick, who served 18 months in prison and two months of home confinement after pleading guilty to running a dogfighting operation, said that he wouldn't change anything about his past.

"Running a dogfighting operation" doesn't begin to cover the list of crimes Vick committed. :puke:

I doubt fervent Vick supporters will understand that this quote shows he's stopped even pretending to be remorseful for putting dogs into rape cages, throwing dogs into swimming pools while attached to car batteries, etc.

But one can hope it's an eye-opener.

16. so, vick, you would have no problem meeting the ghosts of those poor, helpfess beings you and your
equally sick cohorts tortured to death? I keep seeing that scene in "ghost" and thinking THAT might actually be a fitting punishment for this pos masquerading as a human being.

but just about what I figured, those kinds of people never really change, not when they don't even know what empathy is. :-(
