I know this whole story about Sarah Palin and her 5th child is crazy but answer me this...
....how can not one person have seen she was pregnant including 49 other governors. I haven't even seen a single photo of her pregnant with this kid.

That just really bothers me, perhaps I'm crazy but it's the truth.

1. Story once removed but...
I met a woman at a party in Seattle last fall who said she'd work in Alaska's state govt. for 20 years. She saw the gov five weeks before the baby was born and swears the gov could not have been pregnant.

5. Parents of pregnant girls, especially negligent parents who live on the other side of the state,...
sometimes learn about the pregnancy fairly late and then have to put on a hastily developed show.

3. Loathe to dthis, but the truth is, right up to delivery, few people knew I was
pregnant by looking at me. I gained the proper amount of weight since mine was a high risk pregnancy.

I'm very long waisted (VERY!) and so carry weight over a larger area than most women.

I'm not saying she wasn't preggers at all, I'm just saying it's possible that she was for the reason I offer, which is admittedly anecdotal.

7. I know others who have been in this position - not saying it isn't possible but....
She's not long waisted - she's short.

There have been photos from her other pregnancy and all of them she looked pregant. What's up with the 5th one.

Finally, not like she was hiding something embarassing. She's a married woman, nothing embarassing about being pregnant, why would she feel she had to hide it?

17. Same here...
I graduated High School three months before my son was born. Nobody knew a thing.

After graduation I went to a place for unwed pregnant teens. I actually had a couple of the girls accuse me of "faking" a pregnancy.

WTF....

I was a little bigger the second time around, and the third time around I was very small again.

So yep...it's absolutely possible for nobody else to suspect a thing.

28. Hey, all it would take is ONE picture of a very public person,
to dispel the rumors.

It's not like it is some kind of official document accessible to a very few. If the baby was, indead, six weeks early, there should be plenty of photos when she was showing, big time. For a woman of her stature, between 6 and 7 1/2 months should be very obvious.

9. Snopes always seems to be well received here, so...
here's a link to a piece on that whole thing:

http://www.snopes.com/politics/palin/bristolbaby.asp

So now I suppose that those who really want to believe that Bristol is the mother of Trig will screech about Snopes being a bunch of "liars". Or, misinformed, at best. Which would be ironic, really, seeing as places like this are always the paragons of Truth, Justice, and The American Way as long as they're exposing Republican mischief.

:eyes:

Frankly, I don't think it's anybody's damned business WHO Trig's "real" mother is.

I don't like Sarah Palin. I absolutely despise her voice. But wherever Trig came from, she is his Mom.

56. That link doesn't address the central issue at all.
It debunks a claim made by a random black kid of youtube that he was the father (which could be pretty easily debunked by anyone with eyes who can see that the kid isn't biracial.)

It doesn't say anything about Palin's ridiculous plane journey which is the crux of the argument and it's version of "debunking" the theory that Bristol is the mother is to say that Bristol claimed to be five months pregnant when Trig was five months old. That's not exactly iron-clad evidence to the contrary.

16. In my youth it was a real problem when an unwed girl in your family
turned up pregnant. She was often hidden away while mother appeared pregnant. It was a common practice for grandma to claim the baby as her own.

So I often wonder what difference it makes if Sarah was trying to protect her daughter the old fashion way?

One other question: What are the ages of the two babies - mom's and daughter's? How far apart are they?

until I see a picture of Sarah, in the hospital, smiling with the new born. I haven't seen that picture, therefore, it was Bristol's.

Besides, she (Bristol) was doing xmeth and the child that was allegedly born had Downs Syndrome. But there were pictures of two babies that was Trig, weren't there.

Too many inconsistencies...

I would like to have her show his birth certificate and, can I be honest with you? I hope she can because if she can't and if he wasn't born to Sarah, which is a real possibility, I am not saying it happened-- I am saying it is a real possibility--- much greater than I thought two or three weeks ago-- then she has pulled one of the greatest cons in the history of Politics ...

58. My $0.02
Edited on Mon Apr-18-11 05:27 PM by laundry_queen
It IS possible for someone on their 5th to look far less pregnant than with their previous. My smallest pregnancy was with my 4th - although I must state for the record that I was still obviously pregnant by the 7th month! lol. Another thing - down's syndrome babies are often smaller than normal as well, and it is very common for them to be born early. And with 2 of my pregnancies, it was the last month where I really got big. So it is possible, imo, that she was just smaller this time, and made a better effort at hiding it.

However...

The whole story about getting on a plane after her water broke....no one does that! And worse yet, someone who is a high risk pregnancy not only shouldn't be on a plane, but someone who KNOWS she is high risk, KNOWS the baby has Down's (which often brings problems at birth with heart defects, feeding problems, breathing problems), KNOWS she is early would generally WANT go to a hospital with a high level NICU. That she went all the way back to Alaska, to a small hospital to have this very high risk baby is pretty much unheard of. And that the doctor was okay with her having the baby there? And 'induced' her instead of instantly transferring her? Then that doctor should have his/her licence pulled. Either Sarah Palin is the dumbest mother on the planet, or she was completely unconcerned with the welfare of her baby, or the whole 'water breaking on a plane' story is bullshit or....she was never pregnant. I am not sure what I think - even if the water breaking stuff is crap, why would she not be in a larger hospital knowing the baby has down's? A relative of mine had a baby with Down's and even though the baby was born relatively healthy, she was in the NICU for quite some time. None of this makes sense.
