"Our society’s addiction to fossil fuels is messing with the perfect balance of nature and threatening the survival of our generation, the youth. It needs to stop, and we will not sit idly by as our leaders make decisions that affect our future.

So on May 8, we will march. The youth will rise up in our communities and let the world know that climate change is not about money, it’s not about power, it’s not about convenience, it is about our survival. It’s about the future of this and every generation to come. And we are ready to do whatever it takes to change it."

This organization is run by teens -- they have the biggest stake in the future.

The worldwide nature of the march makes it more difficult for US media to marginalize the effort. I hope the march has a great turnout and opens some eyes and minds.

2. the founder was inspired by Craig Keilberger who started

"Kids Can Free the Children" which is a youth-run organization against child labor and child exploitation. He started Kids Vs. Global Warming about 4 years ago and it has spread worldwide. This is their biggest effort yet.

They have had some impressive results. Al Gore's people try to say "no" to him when he signed up to do training but Alec is very sincere and does not quit.
