Pay Up Now, Corporations: We're organized and aware of your tax havens and ready to boycott!

Now here is an organization that might really have some teeth in it:

http://truthout.org/pay-now-corporations-were-organized-aware-your-tax-havens-and-ready-boycott

PayUpNow.org lists not only delinquent corporations, but also responsible ones that do pay their
taxes. Among the latter is Walmart which lately has also become more responsible. I was surprised.

PayUpNow.org also asks for feed-back from readers for any new knowledge that they may have.

1. Sorry. When was the last time a boycott accomplished anything?

2. Some think that boycotting the advertisers on Glenn Beck has shown to be fruitful. Of course,

not everyone agrees. But I think it's exactly the right-wingers who place so much
empahsis on profits -- it's the very air they breathe -- who are frightened to death
even of the threat of a boycott.

Hit them where they live!!

8. "PayUpNow.org" could be a rallying point for a national movement to make corporations
pay their fair share of taxes. This alone would bring down the national deficit
and stop the Repubs. from taking over Medicare, Medicaid, health care...etc...

They are cheating on their taxes so that they can make our nation poorer, so
that they become richer and can step in and take over the whole nation.

With Al Capones in high positions, this is what is happening. It's criminals we
are dealing with.

We've got to fight back some time. And time is getting short. Here's a chance
right now. let's not waste it.

3. Koch product boycotts are showing up on Facebook
I've seen them posted by people who I wouldn't expect even know who the Koch's are.

I don't have any proof that they're working, but at least it's a start.

6. I remember it was about a year ago that members on this forum
Edited on Sat Apr-23-11 09:10 PM by Cal33
were trying to get fellow members to write those companies that were advertizing on
Glenn Beck's show, that their companies would be boycotted if they continued
advertizing there. It took some time, but large numbers of advertizers did withdraw,
and Fox was losing money.

There is talk today of Beck's leaving FOX could at least in part have been caused by
this boycott.

Now we have a new organization organizing people to write letters to big corporations,
threatening with boycott of their products if they continued to dodge paying their
legal amount of taxes, and making the American middle-class pay it for them.

I think it's a blessing that "PayUpNow.org" have taken it upon themselves to
organize and coordinate this matter. They're also asking readers for feedback on
the newest information of corporations.

They also are interested in positive news. They also make a list of those corporations
that are responsible and do pay their taxes. Walmart has recently changed and are
listed among the responsible tax-paying corporations. I have been boycotting
Walmart for years. Today is the first time I have read of this turn-around. I
am glad for all parties concerned. I stopped boycotting Walmart as of todayt.

Please help to spread the word around. I hope this boycotting will spread like wild-fire.
I think it's worth a good and sustained try to make delinquent corporations pay the
amount of taxes that they should be legally paying.

We should do our bit to make it into a "Citizens Movement to make corporations pay their
legal amount of taxes.

7. Would you consider this as proof? I've been boycotting Walmart
for years, and only found out yesterday that Walmart has changed and is now
on "PayUpNow.org"list as one of the responsible corporations that pay their
lawful taxes. I also stopped boycotting them as of yesterday.

What we want is that delinquent corporations become responsible and start
paying their taxes -- one result is that fewer poor Americans will die!

5. Yes, I agree. I've been boycotting Walmart for years. Only today have I read
of their change. So, I'm no longer boycotting them.
