This May 21 doomsday date is based on bad history.
The preacher is basing the date on a date 722,500 days from April 1, 33 AD - the alleged date of Jesus' crucifixion. But historians have determined Jesus died in AD 29 because he was 33 then and was born in 4 BCE. So the world should have ended 4 years ago.

2. I think his date calculation misses a thousand leap days as well.
And, his important numbers, seem, Biblically, not so much Biblical.

3. Maybe the world did end and we just haven't noticed yet.
It does seem to be going to Hell in a handbasket.

12. Not to mention that the calendar has been through a few revisions as well.
Like the switch from the Julian to the Gregorian calendar in 1582. In any case, this is such simple-minded silliness that it's a waste of time to even bother poking holes in it. It's nothing but holes to begin with.

17. No historian has determined either the year of birth or death of Jesus
even the ones who feel certain he existed. The only source for such speculations - the Bible - contradicts itself on the matter. 2 gospels give completely different years for his birth. Is that '33' in the Bible too? Or just someone working back from their personal reckoning of his dates?
