Interesting comment from a young Egyptian woman on C-span this morning
Edited on Sun Apr-24-11 10:12 AM by ThomWV
The next to the last segment of this morning's Washington Journal program had two young women from Egypt discussing the state of affairs in their home country. Toward the end the Host asked the ladies how they felt about the Revolution and its after-effects. One of the guests answered by saying (as best as I can paraphrase it) that her greatest fear was the that Revolution would not result in Democracy for the people. She said that the reason she feared the Revolution wouldn't bring democracy was because the Revolutionaries were not political enough. She said that although they prevailed in the Revolution they didn't have the ability to, or want to, take over the reigns of Government. And so, she said, in short order the old politicians return to run things and the old ways return with them.
