The growing NYPD ticket-fixing scandal is about to get worse.
Thirty cops were secretly recorded during the massive probe, and what was heard on thousands of hours of tape goes far beyond just making traffic violations disappear for family and friends. Sources tell me what's yet to come out is potentially criminal conduct:

If you read on, you find that the journalist is arguing that these are "great, fantastic"
public servants "sacrificing for the good of the city" -- !!
And, btw, about every rank is involved, including 4 Captains, 25 detections on and on!
The journalist says that only those "on the take" should be punished.
There's a long list of stuff overall -- "renovations to homes/repairs to cars" -- others
got money and tickets to sporting events evidently in return for fixing a speeding ticket
for a Yankees' exec.
A Manhattan police union delegate was found to have 240 tickets for 2010 season.
So many cases that they've set "threshold levels" for the corruption and "fixes" before
criminal charges will apply.
There have been about 40 arrests -- with NYPD dealing with about 500 cases.
