Wisconsin Republican voting bill ‘morally repugnant,’ say Democrats
Source: Raw Story
By Eric W. Dolan

Voting legislation proposed by Republican lawmakers in Wisconsin would disenfranchise the state's most vulnerable citizens and its young people, according to the Wisconsin Democratic Party.

Assembly Bill 7, drafted by Rep. Jeff Stone, would require voters to show a Wisconsin driver's license, a state-issued ID card, a military ID, a passport or a naturalization certificate. They would also have to provide both their current address and their previous address, and sign a poll book when they voted.

"The Republican voter suppression bill is an affront to democracy in Wisconsin," said Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate. "It is morally repugnant."

1. It's part of the GOP's concerted plan nationwide. Read this...
Sums it up nicely. GOP can't win fairly so let's get rid of those pesky ones who would likely vote Dem.

2. There is no such thing as "morally repugnant" to a Republican.
First, you have to have morals. Second...the ends justify the means. They simply don't care what anyone thinks about them. They're in it for the money and power. The power which makes them even more money. It's us silly Democrats that keep being concerned with morals...that's our downfall.

5. Empathy has no place in corporatism.
The goal is making money for your shareholders (and yourself). Nothing else matters. NOTHING. No corporation is chartered to be good and help people. Even if they say they are, they're not...they're chartered to make money for their shareholders, or else they can be sued for breach of fiduciary responsibility. Unless you charter as a not-for-profit or a non-profit, you MUST make profits or else the government itself can shut you down...the IRS doesn't allow you to keep losing money and writing it off forever. They generally give you five years. So, there really isn't much to discuss...if you're a corporation, it doesn't matter how you do it, you have to MAKE MONEY. Or you die.

They'd prefer everyone else die.
