They have to be celebrating at Campus Progress, because they broke this story last month.

Last month, Campus Progress
published an exposé on the undue influence conservative group the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) is having on state legislators who have helped push through bills that would limit young people’s access to voting. Since then, we’ve been keeping a close eye on these bills, which have cropped up in dozens of states across the country and have begun to spark the attention of the national media. All the while, and despite evidence to the contrary, ALEC has denied that they are the ones influencing these disenfranchising pieces of legislation.

This is a very short article, so I'm going to quote only one paragraph. The next one is about the NY Times editorial I posted about the other day:
"NYT editorial on "The Republican Threat to Voting" puts some of the blame on ALEC"
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x968074As I explained in the OP for the long compilation topic on the
American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), it was the Campus Progress article early last month that first made me aware of what ALEC was doing.
This is a direct link to the topic I posted about their story on ALEC, which was picked up by Erik Kain at Forbes:
"Conservative Corporate Advocacy Group ALEC (linked to Kochs) Behind Voter Disenfranchisement Efforts"
