Republicans under 55 have to decide how much they hate government.
Republicans seldom break from their Party propaganda or orthodoxy. Now, they have been put on the spot by their Party elders, like Paul Ryan.

Will they need Medicare in 10 more years or will they have enough insurance to pay for any illnesses that might beset them. Of course, they are not all wealthy. Many scrap to survive, just like many Democrats. They are in the same boat whether they admit it or not.

But their Party is asking them to sacrifice their future for the Party. We assume most of these folks screaming at these town halls are Democrats. But, maybe not?

These Republican Congressmen and Senators will not have to worry about their healthcare like many average Republicans. It's time for these folks to shit or get off the pot. They have followed these morons to the edge of doom and now they want them to jump off the cliff. Sacrifice everything you have worked for, your health and income, for the wealthy of your Party. That is what they are asking.

For many Republicans, this must be like a bucket of cold water thrown in their faces?

1. Marco Rubio
Is a Gen X Florida teabag senator who has said that he will NOT vote for raising the debt ceiling. That tell you much?

3. Yep.
This guy and Repubs like Paul Ryan are asking a lot from their supporters. Sometimes I think they feel they have the luxury to disagree with social programs because they think the Democrats will protect them in the end?

5. "Buying off the Tea Party" : I heard this yesterday, and thought that
was the PERFECT way to describe Ryan's "goodies for the 55+ crowd, and SHIT for everyone else" plan.

6. younger people under 40 can look forward to a day when...
Republicans under 55 have to decide how much they hate government
and younger people have to plan for the day their parents move in with them.

The parents, who used to be able to help out their children during tough times have lost their savings, homes, jobs and medical care.

Additionally, the prices for food, energy, gas etc. have gone through the roof. Elder care will really cut into childcare and college costs for the next generation.

With a tip of the hat to Alan Grayson: hopefully the old folks will die fast, so the burden on the children and grandchildren won't be too great or last too long.

.

.

.

but hey, it was supposed to help the deficit, right?
(and the corporations must be fed)

If the masses own ANYTHING, they are a threat to corporate dominance.

Mission almost accomplished.
