Activists are trying to put the brakes on it before fracking has the chance to produce its own version of last year's BP oil spill. ....

According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the Marcellus Shale is "a sedimentary rock formation deposited over 350 million years ago in a shallow inland sea located in the eastern United States where the present-day Appalachian Mountains now stand" and it "contains significant quantities of natural gas." How significant? Well, it kind of depends on .....
