House of Cards trilogy recommendation
Did anybody catch Keith's homage -- You might say that. I couldn't possibly comment -- on one of his last shows?

I love this trilogy and that I can now stream it whenever I want.

I keep seeing it recommended in different places, on DU, in here, etc, and thought it deserved its own thread.

3. The Brits do great political thrillers. Here are some more (not all on streaming)
1. A Very British Coup (a real socialist becomes prime minister)

2. The State Within (an international conspiracy)

3. State of Play (nefarious dealings in the oil industry)

4. Defence of the Realm (a reporter gets hold of some secret papers)

I don't know how many of these are available for streaming.

4. Yeah, State of Play miniseries made into American movie
with Russell Crowe as a plus canceled out by Ben Affleck, which I could almost forgive because it also had Helen Mirren in it.

I thought they were both great.

5. I loved "The State Within" and Jason Isaacs was awesome!
A great series.

But Francis Urquhart is the best!

6. Just finished watching this last night and loved it.
It's one of those that you just don't want to see end. Highly recommended.
