New Delhi (AFP) - A 16-year-old Indian girl who was raped and then set on fire on the roof of her home has died, police said Wednesday, the latest in a string of horrific sexual crimes in India.

The teenager, who sustained more than 90 percent burns in Monday's attack, died in hospital early Wednesday, the investigating officer told AFP.

"Unfortunately she could not be saved despite the best efforts of the medical staff," said Ashwani Kumar.

"We have arrested the accused, who is 19 years old and sent him to judicial custody.

Exposed Hillary and Columbia - Clintion foundation and trade deal there

dollar private equity firm:

November 2015
Exposed – The Clinton Foundation is Running a $20 Million Private Equity Firm in Colombia

The details of these financial dealings remain murky, but this much is clear: After millions of dollars were pledged by the oil company to the Clinton Foundation — supplemented by millions more from Giustra himself — Secretary Clinton abruptly changed her position on the controversial U.S.-Colombia trade pact. Having opposed the deal as a bad one for labor rights back when she was a presidential candidate in 2008, she now promoted it, calling it “strongly in the interests of both Colombia and the United States.” The change of heart by Clinton and other Democratic leaders enabled congressional passage of a Colombia trade deal that experts say delivered big benefits to foreign investors like Giustra.

The details of her family’s entanglements in Colombia echo talk that the Clintons have blurred the lines between their private business and philanthropic interests and those of the nation. And Hillary Clinton’s connections to Pacific Rubiales and Giustra intensify recent questions about whether big donations influenced her decisions as secretary of state.

A charitable foundation running a private equity fund is “not something one hears about commonly” and is “very concerning,” according to Craig Holman, the government affairs lobbyist at the watchdog group Public Citizen.

Ex-Chesapeake CEO McClendon dies in car wreck

Source: Yahoo News/CNBC

Aubrey McClendon, a founder and former chief executive of Chesapeake Energy (CHK), died in a fiery single-car crash Wednesday, a day after he was charged with conspiring to rig bids for oil and natural gas leases.

McClendon, 56, crashed into an embankment while traveling at a "high rate of speed" in Oklahoma City just after 9 a.m. local time, said Capt. Paco Balderrama of the Oklahoma City Police Department. Flames engulfed McClendon's vehicle "immediately," Balderrama said. He added that police determined McClendon was not wearing a seatbelt after earlier being unable to tell.

"He pretty much drove straight into the wall," Balderrama said.

He said police still needed to determine an exact cause of the crash, but a medical event was "possible." McClendon was expected to turn himself in at 11 a.m., Balderrama added.
