Yes its been colder than this

The Contiguous U.S. (Lower 48) had the coldest November-December period on record in 2000.

Also, the coldest November in the 120 year record for the Contiguous U.S. was 1911.

U.S. had 4th Warmest October since records began

Lastly, the fact that the Contiguous U.S. had the 4th warmest October probably makes this November seem even colder than it has been.

Its been colder in the past

It was colder 14 years ago when the country had a very cold November-December. In fact, Nov-Dec 2000 was the coldest Nov-Dec on record.
