Do we as NATO members have the ability to shoot Russian nuclear missiles out of the sky before detonation
With all that is going on a few personal 2 cents
And probably gonna get blasted for them.
I'm a European, but lived in Tennessee for a while as a young man. Questions later 
But here are my 2cents...
Gun violence.... as a medic we learned there are 5 different levels of casualties in 1 incident. The person in need, his/her closest circle, the witnesses, the first responders and the closest circle of those first responders. That is why guns are banned in most European countries. We had our fair share of revolutions over the ages, but the idea of a well regulated militia is long gone (Except for Switzerland but that s another story ) What I want to say. The impact of 1 incident is far greater then the casualty itself. Financially, socially, emotionally. I never see that discussed in my 2nd Homeland.
Climate change... i live near Holland where 50 years ago a massive storm gave the incentive to the Delta Works because already then it was clear something was changing. Today we are in the 5th year of the Sigma Plan that doubles to triples the coastal defences for impact, and not only coastal. In Europe there is somewhere already a combined effort against what is upon us, because of the terryfing signs ( And we don't even have hurricanes and tornadoes over here.). I never see that discussed in my 2nd Homeland.
LGBTQ+.... I did my training as a firefighter 20 years ago with the first openly gay candidate. That was a shock at first in 'the last male fortress', but our laws protected him and boy had we a great time! ( No, not that way ) Today he is a key member in two posts, a truly great guy, his sexuality is of no concern at all. Why not in my 2nd homeland?

Freedom of speech.... Absolutely! But freedom of speech does not give you the right to lie or deflect. There are immediate judicial consequences if you do. Why not... ?
Health care.... I pay each month 13.7% off my income as everyone. That guarantees me a pension, unemployment leave, paid sick leave and a 5€ bill each time I need to get stitched up or sick or...

A belgian newspaper reported that Russia lost a full batalion of 5000 elite troops ( instead of the canon fodder conscripts) in their carnage tactics of 'we have more soldiers then the enemy has' . But I do not find any verification on other sites.

When i read about...
... everything that is going in the States, lately, the feeling creeps up to me and sends a chill down my spine, that the US has entered some kind of 'endgame', where there will be only one victor. But i have no idea whatsoever who that will be: whether it will be the republicans with a fascist, totalitarian regime, or the democrats with hope and holistic growth... Not the kind of suspence i fancy.
Maybe the Texas abortion and voter restriction laws are a good thing...
I can only imagine the stupor, defiance and anger among the 'sane' people in a way huge swaths of voters will vote those sorry republican asses out ad infinitum.

In Europe, when a 'news' channel spews lies, they are facing accountability and even severe charges. In the US, apparantly anything goes when you name yourself 'the Press' Fuck news would already be out of business years ago in Europe. As a matter of fact. You cannot acces Fuck news here, only through pay per view... Misinformation will be the death of the US. As stated here on DU, Americans live in a non existant dream of freedom and care. Such a pity.

... for the Nobel Peace Price ? This was a news flash here in Belgium. Because of the peace talks in the Middle East.
