Charlie Rose's coverage of the SOTUS begins with Mitch Daniels' obscene act

Charlie Rose did his usual best to suck up to Republican Propagandists with his SOTUS coverage. He began the show link

with a short excerpt - not by the President but by Mitch Daniels making an obscene statement about the President. (You won't find this on the tape. This was special gift for viewers of last nights broadcast) Rose avowed it was a mistake because they were broadcasting 'live' (unfortunately, Charlie didn't show a whit of surprise or embarrassment over the avowed 'glitch'). - I guess Rose thinks his viewers are stupid enough to believe that bullshit - as if anything that goes out over the air, with a delay, is a mistake (or more likely it was 'taped live' .. meaning they could have edited it before broadcasting.). Here's the excerpt Rose, ever the Fascist sycophant, played as an intro to the President's speech (notice the daniels excerpt neatly begins with a statement by daniels - not in the middle or end of a point as one might expect in an accidental, random event) :

Mitch Daniels: "No feature of the Obama presidency has been sadder than its constant efforts to divide us, to curry favor with some Americans by castigating others,"

The Republicans keep setting new standards in outrageous, repugnant, obscene utterances delivered with the placid equanimity of a sociopath. These performances are calculated to make reasonable people become overwhelmed with rage. Imagine, Daniels asserts this, actually insane, lie after three years of racist rants against the president, countless outrageous incendiary statements by a multitude of Republican verbal hit-men, seeking to incite the simple minded into attacks (verbally and otherwise) against Democrats - and even against reasonably minded Republicans trying to do right by the citizens of our country by getting something done in Congress through rational, reasonable compromise with Democrats. There were John Boehner's "he's a dead man" and Palin's 'cross-hairs' rifle sights mailers, just to pick two examples among a multitude. And Daniels makes this reality inverting accusation that it is Obama who is trying to 'divide us'.

(This kind of obscene lieing, this mutilation of reality almost makes one long for the old custom of dealing with liars by removing their tongues. Certainly, this would improve the level of discourse anywhere where Repulblicans are involved!)

And of course, there are the obsequious, enablers of this kind of filth, the Charlie Roses who begin the coverage of the SOTUS by running this sort of offensive rhetorical filth as an execrable exordium to the President's State of the Union Speech. Play on Rose. Enjoy yourself sucking up to the fascists and being a GOP whore.
