Israel Verifies Death of 38 Hostages Who Were Believed to Be Alive

Prof. Ofer Merin, director of Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem and member of the committee to examine the state of the hostages, told Reshet Bet Radio on Wednesday morning that Tuesday’s announcement of the murder of the Israeli hostage Lior Rudaeff followed a new video that arrived last weekend.

“We are talking about completely new materials,” Dr. Merin said. “Quite a few photographed materials arrived this week, including a video that was not available before. Those Hamas people were very busy with the documentation — they took pictures with GoPro cameras and other cameras,” Marin revealed.

Mr. Rudaeff was an ambulance driver. His father is turning 89 - and it appears there is now a two month old grandbaby in the family . . . that he never got to meet.

Out of the 132 Israeli hostages in Hamas’s captivity, 38 have been verified dead.

Article explains that some of these people have been dead since October 7 - but the Gazan Leadership (GL) aka Hamas have held onto the corpses - possibly for exchange for live prisoners in Israel.

That leaves 94 souls still being held captive by a brutal, vicious group of rapists and murderers.

The committee “was established about a week after the start of the war with the understanding that we were not receiving any information from Hamas about who was kidnapped and in what condition,” Prof. Merin explained. “We received reports from people and saw images on security cameras in localities where some of the kidnapped were dragged as bodies, which became clear at an early stage. It took the state time to understand that out of the 240 hostages, some were kidnapped as bodies and are no longer among the living.”

“We have a moral and emotional obligation to share with the families any available information, and when the committee sits, it meets for hours on the materials. We sit and analyze and go over again and again, we convey the findings and try to be sharp because the goal of the committee is to remove doubts. As soon as we reach sharp conclusions, we pass them along,” he said.

He came from an urban public school where nearly all the students, like him, are Black. His family had pushed him to go to college close to home

Robinson is one of many students of color who, in swelling numbers, have transformed Hopkins over the past decade and made it one of the most racially diverse universities in the top tier of higher education. Whether this school or others can sustain such trends, though, is an open question following a landmark Supreme Court decision that sharply curtails the role of race in admissions.

In 2013, 9 percent of incoming freshmen at Hopkins had “legacy” connections, the university said, and 18 percent identified as Black, Latino, American Indian, Native Alaskan or Native Hawaiian. By last fall the legacy share had plummeted to less than 2 percent while the percentage from the underrepresented racial and ethnic groups had soared to 34 percent. The White share of freshmen, meanwhile, sank to 17 percent in 2022. Federal data show it had been 46 percent a decade earlier.

In 2018, Hopkins received a gift of $1.8 billion from alumnus Mike Bloomberg — Class of 1964 — to make the university’s admissions “forever need-blind.” The gift shattered modern philanthropy records. Few colleges or universities can hope to land donations on that scale — especially donations targeting financial aid

AfAm Group : Who do they blame now? - Affirmative Action

When there is ONE black student - will that still be too many?

When they lose their first job because they can't manage in a diverse environment - will they blame a black person?

Wait until they hear about legacy students. Right now - I want that kept in place.

Know why? Won't impact low income African American students. It WILL hurt the people who opened the door. Give it a few years. Then they can't blame us anymore.

Tarrio (Proud Boy) wasn't at the Capitol

Tarrio is the first person not present at the Capitol to be found criminally responsible at trial in the violence that injured scores of police, ransacked offices and forced the evacuation of lawmakers. The government alleged he watched from Baltimore after being expelled from D.C. one day earlier pending trial for burning a stolen “Black Lives Matter” flag at an earlier pro-Trump rally in Washington.

I think.this opens Trump and a host of its minions up to a tremendous amount of jeopardy.

How many levels between Tarrio and Trump? Publicly none - Stand back and stand by.

The fewer layers between he and Trump behind closed doors the better.

Daniel's Law - Discussion about applying the law

Daniel’s Law (P.L. 2021, c. 371) protects the personal information of active or retired judges, prosecutors, law enforcement officers, and their immediate family members. Government agencies, individuals, and businesses are prohibited from publishing the home address and telephone number of individuals who request protection under Daniel’s Law.

Our newly elected GOP Mayor I *think* has misinterpreted the law. She is using the law to remove planning board videos from YouTube and to not allow Council Meeting commenters to verify their address at Council Meetings. In addition - she is stripping our Borough web site of past meeting minutes and planning board/historic preservation committee minutes and approvals.

I have reached out to the program Administrator in Trenton via email, but I'm wondering how other municipalities are managing the law.

Covered Persons should only include the following:
Active and retired federal and state court judges, prosecutors, and law enforcement members may request redaction of certain personal information from the public-facing sites noted above.L

I take that to mean residents and business owners who do not fall under that definition - can be compelled to provide their address, and prior meetings CAN be maintained on public sources as long as the addresses of Covered Persons are redacted.

Am I wrong here?

'Prepare to not know who won' Kean vs. Malinowski NJ's 7th District race on election night

There’s no New Jersey congressional election more competitive this year than the one for the 7th District, where incumbent Democrat Tom Malinowski is hoping to fend off a challenge from Republican Tom Kean, Jr.

That’s despite Kean nearly ousting Malinowski two years ago, and a redistricting that shifted 30,000 more Republicans into the district, extending its boundaries to include all of Warren County and more towns in Sussex County. As of Wednesday, the Cook Political report had New Jersey's 7th District rated as “leans Republican.” Roll Call considers Malinowski the second-most vulnerable incumbent in the House. Yet the Malinowski camp says its internal polls show the race is extremely tight.

What we learned about polarization
Kean has attempted to draw a clear link between his opponent and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (In the only televised debate between the two candidates, Kean mentioned Pelosi 11 times). Malinowski ties Kean to former President Donald Trump and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (one Westfield resident, Carole Cooke, said outside the nearby Trader Joe’s that Kean’s campaign promise to have Trump’s back is a “no go for me&quot

Democratic strongholds like Rahway could prove to be essential to Malinowski’s strategy in the run-up to the election. The town was pulled into the 7th District through the same redistricting process that upped the count of Republicans overall.

“Malinowski has not been their representative, and so they're used to voting for Donald Payne [the Democratic incumbent seeking re-election in the 10th Congressional District],” Solomon said. “So it'll be very interesting to watch whether Malinowski can get turnout in Rahway. That is key.”

Malinowski (NJ), Casten (IL), Wild (PA) Propose Pull Troops from the Gulf

I'm not using their headline - because it's not a simple matter of 'revenge'. It's smart retaliation. They've made their bed with Putin, are trying to influence our election (gas prices), and we are still the largest producer of oil in America.

Democratic Reps. Tom Malinowski of New Jersey, Sean Casten of Illinois and Susan Wild of Pennsylvania have introduced legislation asking for the withdrawal of all U.S. troops from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, after OPEC announced its decision to curb oil production on Wednesday.

Tweet: "This is a hostile act by Saudi Arabia and the UAE, designed to hurt the United States and our allies and to help Russia, despite President Biden's overtures," Malinowski wrote on Twitter on Thursday."If Saudi Arabia and the UAE want to help Putin keep oil prices high, they should look to him for their defense," he added in a later tweet.

In a joint statement, Malinowski, Casten and Wild said: "OPEC's decision appears designed to increase Russia's oil export revenues, enabling Putin to continue his war crimes in Ukraine, and undercutting Western sanctions."

Malinowski, Casten and Wild said that Saudi Arabia's and the UAE's decision to cut oil production "despite President Biden's overtures to both countries in recent months, is a hostile act against the United States and a clear signal that they have chosen to side with Russia in its war against Ukraine." In response, they called for the U.S. to "resume acting like the superpower in our relationship with our client states in the Gulf."

MF45's Legacy - My Thought of the Day

When the history books are written - all of the outrageous, cruel, vindictive things MF45 Did to human beings, and said during the 45's tenure will be forgotten.

Everything will be overshadowed by Trump being impeached.

Trump will be on Time Magazine for being the third President to be impeached in the house (Nixon resigned).

Trump's traitorous, dictatorial, and authoritative behavior will be noted. The fact that 45 lost the popular vote will be noted. The fact that 45 shifted the political landscape and killed the Republican Party as I've known it in my 46 years on this earth, will be noted. The fact that our Republic fell during this Administration will be noted. The final paragraphs will be that Trump Was Impeached.

And as awful as the past few years have been, it makes me very happy that when I'm dead and gone the rising dominant culture will look at him as I do Andrew Johnson, Woodrow Wilson, Ronald Reagan. Nixon . . .

And I say that because I'm a black woman that is the product of a mixed race marriage. My brother's girls are half Latina. My sisters children - their father is a Muslim. Her daughter is now engaged to a first generation American, whose parents are from Colombia. My descendants will find somewhere out there in the 'Cloud Record' that their Great Great Aunt wrote these words. Similar to the words I found in the New Deal Slave Narratives of my Great Great Grandmother being interviewed - I hope they link me to this electronic record and know - I was never for this son of a bitch.

And that I was very happy to see not just TRUMP - but evil face he exposed of the many Americans in the old dominant culture who voted for him - Impeached, brought to heel, and the beginning of the end of their dominance.

When the history books are written - Trump was Impeached by the House of Representatives on December 18, 2019.

I'm concerned with the

65 million that voted for Clinton - but who lost due to the Electoral College.
The 4.8 million disgruntled Republicans that voted for Johnson/Weld - I grew up with some of those people and they HATE Donald Trump and now live in places like NC, Florida, NV, and Arizona.
I'm concerned about the 1.4 million that voted for Jill Stein.
I'm concerned about the 730K that voted for Evan McMullin
I'm concerned about the 2600 votes cast for Kasich

That's 71 Million active voters in 2016.

Let's win this thing.
