Washington State is needing a little love
The coordinator of the Washington State canvassing effort, Bill Hairsen, is asking for help in canvassing the state. They've set up a network of places that you can stay (for free) and are coordinating carpooling and other transportation efforts. If you're interested, PM me and I'll be happy to give you his email address. He'll set you up.
For all those disappointed by the pardonings here at DU, may I make a suggestion?
Spend less time on reading juvenile posts by immature authoritarian lovers and WAY more time phone banking for Bernie. Every half hour you waste on DU can be spent on phone banking. We have gotten this far, which NOBODY thought would happen, by phone banking and canvassing. Not only do we need to continue, we need to kick it into high gear.
If you haven't done any phone banking there are several resources available. You can go to www.berniesanders.com/phonebanking. There you will find everything you need by way of training. If you have questions, there is a live chat. You can also sign on to live webinars in which experienced phone bankers are live and will walk you through the process -- it's sort of like sitting in a virtual classroom. Another option is to go to map.berniesanders.com, plug in your zip code, a radius, and find a phone banking event if you feel there is strength in numbers. If there's not an event, create one. Is it scary at first? Yes. But like anything else, after the first few calls, you stop stuttering and stepping on your tongue and each succeeding call gets better. At some point it's going to feel like the most natural thing in the world.
Sitting on social media and DU, frankly, does NOTHING for the campaign. Only action advances the campaign.
There are amazing activists on this site. Use them. Ask questions. All of us are here to help.
So, enough with the hand-wringing about DU and WAY more on phone banking and canvassing if your caucus or primary is coming up.
Nailed it!

Californians:
There is a conference call tonight at 7:30 in which we'll be getting further guidance. However, it's in an email. If you want to be included, PM me your email address and I'll forward it on to you.
If any of you are from other states and are on these calls, please speak up so you can do the same for others.
Thanks,
LTH
NO! The "campaign" is NOT taking down Events.
Check the Events page for your area and I'm guessing you'll find your events are still there. I know ALL of our events are still up.
What Are You Doing for Bernie Today, March 16?
We are activists! We are the feet on the ground and there is still TONS of work to do. If you haven't already, go to map.berniesanders.com, plug in your zip code and radius and find an event. If there isn't one, create one yourself. Lots of opportunity. If there's no phone banking event, go to www.berniesanders.com/phonebank and do your own "event," even if your "event" consists of you sitting in your jammies and phone banking.
So, here's what we're doing today:
Our group, Fresno Progressive for Bernie Sanders (FB page: FP4Bernie Sanders) and Valley Berners (FB page: Valley Berners) are holding a training for those people who want to hold barnstorming events throughout the San Joaquin Valley. That's from 6:00 to 7:00.
From 7:00 to 8:30 we're holding our second Barnstorming Event wherein we get the troops fired up and get people to commit to phone banking for Bernie.
So, Berners, here's your chance to shine! What are YOU doing for Bernie Today, March 16?
