Worse than hell: Rick Wilson was just on RT with BM and said Trump GOQ '24 presumptive nominee

RT with BM=Real Time with Bill Maher.

My stomach has been a bit jumpy tonight and I feel a little bit more sick now after hearing Wilson say this. He said Trump is the presumptive nominee unless he gets eaten by an alligator, direct quote.

I cannot begin to tell you how much better my life will be when I no longer have to worry about that Satanic monster. 4 more years of this? At least 10 years all together? The anxiety he has provoked in me for years now has been intense enough and now to hear that, that anxiety (which I thought was put away January 20, 2021) has just begun? I keep trying to wean off my antidepressant/anti-anxiety medication (just 1 pill) but as long as I keep hearing things like this, that seems a distant dream

Would the 2020 election have been easier or harder to win if Trump had resigned or been convicted?

For the purpose of this OP, The US House Ukrainian Impeachment Inquiry in 2019 results in the resignation or removal of Trump. Perhaps, this is achieved by Bolton coming forward and delivering bombshell house impeachment inquiry testimony. In any event, Mike Pence is POTUS on February 24, 2020, 6 months to the day from Speaker Pelosi announcing the impeachment inquiry.

Would Former Vice-President Biden have steamrolled over an enthusiasm-non existent moribund now President Pence winning a even bigger landslide than he actually did and perhaps 2 or 3 more Democratic senators elected? Or would President Pence have handled the defining moments of the 2020 campaign slightly more competently, Coronavirus and George Floyd, resulting in an actually close 50-50, 271-267 style final result for Joe? To satisfy the post-resignation/conviction enraged GOP base, would President Pence have had to tweet "Liberate Michigan" and parade around maskless not to mention pour troops into Lafayette Square for a photo-op post George Floyd?

Perhaps, we see a Trump V. Biden V Pence 3-way in 2020 if he resigns first before the senate could convict?

Which scenario do you think is more likely? It's hard not to dream about how much better things would have been if the 2019 impeachment inquiry had been successful, but at the same time, there is legitimate worry about whether or not President Pence could have turned the coronavirus and George Floyd disasters to his benefit somehow. We probably don't lose 14 house seats in 2020 either if Pence is President post Trump being gone somehow due to the impeachment inquiry.

Just thinking about this because if the impeachment inquiry had succeeded, we probably wouldn't have had the 1/6 insurrection nor be facing down the threat of a full-on authoritarian democracy-hating GOP today nor be dependent on Manchin.

Don't underestimate how much this verdict will help the Biden Presidency

It will go a long way to fulfilling one of the key promises of President Biden's campaign, to help heal the nation. It will be remembered as a moment where America began to right itself, and also who the leader of the US was at this historic moment. President Biden also has a tremendous opportunity momentarily to deliver an address for the ages, when he responds to the verdict, which could also further propel his Presidency to greatness.

This day is, of course, not about President Biden, but it does set the forces of division led by Trump dramatically back in this country, and, again, goes a long way to help President Biden restore the soul of the nation.

Here's hoping at least. Great day!

K and R this thread if you're tired and disgusted with MSNBC/CNN concern trolling Rep. Waters and 46

Hey, Ayman Mojahadeen, spare me your faux outrage. Same goes for you yesterday, Wolf Blitzer. Also disgusted that the press corps echoed Kevin McCarthy at the WH press briefing today, even asking Jen Psaki about this.

Let's focus on the real issues in this country like police brutality, exiting the pandemic, voting rights and badly needed infrastructure. Now is not the time to indulge in your hatred of Rep. Waters, media! I know she scares you, but she's not going to back down from your intimidation. Ever. So, get over it.

Please don't go back to your pre Toad-era ways, CNN and MSNBC!

Manchin singlehandedly set the Biden Presidency ablaze and put America on brink of tyranny tonight

No minimum wage increase now.
No voting rights bill now. Manchin says the Georgia bill and GOP gerrymandering in the 2020 census redistricting is just fine.
No gun reform bill now.
No immigration improvements now.
No climate change action bill now.
No Medicare improvement now.

No nothing except if Moscow Mitch gives it his blessing first, essentially. I would argue that Joe Lieberman (albeit a neocon) did not even give President Obama as much of the middle finger and a F*** you as Joe Manchin gave President Biden tonight.

It's almost like it's personal with Manchin. He seems to want to intentionally curse President Biden and poke him in the eye. Not sure what's going on there.

This is a total nightmare. Worse. From someone we thought was an ally.

WAPO analysis: How GOP-backed voting measures could create hurdles for tens of millions of voters

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/interactive/2021/voting-restrictions-republicans-states/

The GOP’s national push to enact hundreds of new election restrictions could strain every available method of voting for tens of millions of Americans, potentially amounting to the most sweeping contraction of ballot access in the United States since the end of Reconstruction, when Southern states curtailed the voting rights of formerly enslaved Black men, a Washington Post analysis has found.

In 43 states across the country, Republican lawmakers have proposed at least 250 laws that would limit mail, early in-person and Election Day voting with such constraints as stricter ID requirements, limited hours or narrower eligibility to vote absentee, according to data compiled as of Feb. 19 by the nonpartisan Brennan Center for Justice. Even more proposals have been introduced since then.

Nicole is talking about this live on MSNBC now. This is horrifying. 10s of millions??? I cannot stress enough my opinion that HR 1 is the most critical piece of legislation since the end of the civil war. It must be passed!

Moulitas should get this garbage off the front page of a site for Democratic activists and groups!

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/biden-approval-rating/

Check that out. President Biden at 53.6% approval average and a +15 spread!

Then, check this out:

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president-biden-job-approval-7320.html

RCP even higher with President Biden with a 55%+ average approval rating and another +15 spread.

So, by all accounts President Biden is a very popular president!

But, wait!

https://civiqs.com/results/approve_president_biden?annotations=true&uncertainty=true&zoomIn=true&sumTotals=&trendline=&net=&map=&startDate=&endDate=&utm_campaign=embed

Civiqs has decided to be the new Rasmussen, except it's way more skewed than Rasmussen at the moment. Civiqs is way off in la-la land that even Rasmussen isn't at. IT says that President Biden is pretty much only as popular as Donald Toad. His approval rating is just 46%, which matches his disapproval, and worse than that, he is already at 50% disapproval amongst Independents!! Also, the very young and very old alike are giving him a thumbs down!

A garbage poll like this on Daily Kos of all places!

Moulitas should get this garbage off the front page ASAP and investigate why his poll is such a positively horrendous outlier compared to seriously ALL others!!

So, is there a bigger piece of human excretement in all of DC than Ron Johnson (R-Moscow)?

In a cespool, it's tough but I think with his "there's nothing to congratulate him for" remark after President Biden won the election to the fillibuster of much-needed COVID-19 relief in the senate to voting against the election certification to spreading conspiracy theories about 1/6, Ron Johnson must win the award for biggest piece of slime in all of DC. Even, Mitch McConnell doesn't check the box for all 4 of those. Just 2!

Congratulations for being the worst person you could be RJ!

Joe Manchin, Crucial Stimulus Vote, Pushes Senate Dems to Give Fewer People $1,400 Checks

Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia is using his crucial vote to push Democrats into lowering the income threshold of the $1,400 stimulus checks in President Joe Biden's $1.9 trillion relief package.

He also wants to lower the unemployment bonus to $300 and is very much critical of the $350 billion state and local government aid for state and local governments.

In addition to further targeting the checks, Manchin has also expressed concern at the high price tag attached to the $350 billion in aid to state and local governments and indicated that he wants to lower the $400 weekly federal unemployment benefits. I'm "very supportive" of $300 instead, he said Monday. "We're negotiating."

https://www.newsweek.com/joe-manchin-crucial-stimulus-vote-pushes-senate-dems-give-fewer-people-1400-checks-1573037

I respectfully disagree with everything Senator Manchin is negotiating for here.
