About Me

Nixon was a fucking crook. As a teenager I marched on the UN in 1982 with a million other people demanding we get rid of the threat of nuclear weapons hanging over our heads. Since then I've worked to get Democrats elected like John Aristotle Phillips, known as the A-Bomb Kid when he ran for Congress against Stuart McKinney in CT in the 80's (we lost twice) through the Obama campaign in 2008 and 2012. I want to legalize cannabis, reform our prison for profit system, cut our military budget, get out of Afghanistan and push solar energy panels into every building in the USA.

"I didn't need to do this," Trump said. "But I'd rather do it much faster."

Pretty sure Melania says the same thing.

Now we know there is no "good faith negotiation" with Trump and the GOP, right?

They will cheat on everything.
Cut a deal, then, lie and declare a crisis and McConnell supports it?
Fuck that and fuck them.

They need to know they just burned all their good will for the next two years of this Congress by supporting this bullshit.

No more deals with the GOP while this "emergency" exists.
We pass our bills, our way, defining what we stand for, and that's it.

The media did America a big disservice today broadcasting the Complete Lie Filled Trump speech

thanks for the Goebbels level propaganda show media.
Even my local TV station in LA carried it live.
Suckers all.

RIP Representative John Dingell, 92

John Dingell, the longest-serving member of Congress in history, died Thursday at the age of 92.

Dingell recently entered hospice care after a cancer diagnosis.

Rep. Deborah Dingell (D-Mich.), Dingell's successor in Congress and his wife, confirmed his death to the Detroit News.

First elected in 1955, Dingell became revered on both sides of the aisle on Capitol Hill for his legislative prowess while shaping some of the most consequential bills in the last century.

After a historic tenure that included landmark votes on civil rights, authorizing wars, and Medicare, Dingell retired in 2014 in frustration over the entrenched partisanship that came to define Congress in his final years.

A legend is gone.

I believe most of the pundits are confused about "Peace and Legislation or War and Investigation"

In my interpretation Trump isn't referring to an external war in the quote.
he's not going to wag the dog and start a war with Iran or Venezuela.

He's referring to a previous quote of his on the day after the Blue wave election last year at his presser where he said something like "if they (Democrats) want investigate me we will go to war and investigate them back" or something like that.

It's a political war of dirt and dirty tricks that he is promising.
he thinks every politician is as dirty as he is and he can false equivalence his way out of it.
Expect more Ralph Northam type ratfucking to happen.
he is desperate and cornered

Talk about a low energy speech

Talk about a low energy speech
Somebody should’ve bought Trump a Redbull before he walked in the Congress

Five minutes into Trump's speech and you people will be begging for Adam Levine's nipples.

It's tonight's TV event that needs a lot of expensive commercials and Maroon 5 playing halfway through...

UN pick Heather Nauert hosted panel on Sharia law conspiracies in 2009 Fox News webcast

UN pick Heather Nauert hosted panel on Sharia law conspiracies in 2009 Fox News webcast

By Andrew Kaczynski and Paul LeBlanc, CNN

From TV host to UN Ambassador Pick

(CNN)President Donald Trump's pick to be United Nations ambassador once hosted a panel on unfounded conspiracy theories that Islamic fundamentalists are secretly trying to destroy America by changing the country's institutions and culture and imposing Sharia law.

Heather Nauert, a former host for "Fox and Friends" and the current spokeswoman for the State Department, pushed the theory in a 2009 Fox News hourlong special webcast titled "Terror from Within" that is still available on the network's website. Nauert fielded input from anti-Muslim activists Frank Gaffney and Robert Spencer, as well as Canadian journalist Tarek Fatah, who is a prominent Muslim critic of aspects of Islam.

Nauert's role in the program could complicate what is already expected to be a contentious confirmation process to become the US ambassador to the UN, a post Trump nominated her to in December. Nauert has already faced criticism for a 2013 appearance on "Fox and Friends" in which she said that "Sharia law is now changing everything" while covering a story on a YMCA private swim class for Muslim girls that accommodated their religious requirements.

After Trump tapped Nauert to replace Nikki Haley as America's ambassador to the United Nations, many raised concerns about her lack of policy experience. Some in diplomatic circles wonder how she'll handle delicate negotiations, questions that are compounded by her past statements on issues of global concern.

There is one way for Northam to save his job without resigning...

He can switch parties and become a Republican.
