It may have been fun while it lasted, but it’s time for the Draft Warren people to either pack it in or find a candidate truly interested in challenging Hillary Clinton for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2016.

Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, target of the enthusiastic draft effort, has never expressed the slightest hint of interest. To the contrary, she has been very clear from the beginning that she wasn’t interested in a presidential bid.

That shouldn’t be surprising to those who know her well. She was reluctant to run for U.S. Senate, and it took a concerted, months-long effort to get her to take that plunge. The rigors of a national campaign don’t suit her, nor does she exhibit the kind of narcissistic egotism that leads a person to think that he or she is the best person to lead this country.

Furthermore, public polling shows no indication that Clinton is vulnerable. To the contrary, numbers today show a level of unity among Democratic primary voters unprecedented in modern political history, garnering the support of between 55 percent and 66 percent of Democrats, depending on the poll. At the same point in the 2007 cycle, Clinton was mired in the low 40s, and Barack Obama in the mid to high 20s. Stupid people may have talked about 2007 Clinton being “inevitable” but the data suggested anything but. This year, with Clinton’s closest challengers in the low teens, it couldn’t be more inevitable.

So it’s not surprising that Warren has consistently and repeatedly declined the invitation to run. Yet those seeking to draft her are persisting at all costs and to comical extremes.

Bloomberg) -- Amazon.com Inc., aiming to bolster its brick-and-mortar operations, has discussed acquiring some RadioShack Corp. locations after the electronics chain files for bankruptcy, two people with knowledge of the matter said.

Amazon has considered using the RadioShack stores as showcases for the Seattle-based company’s hardware, as well as potential pickup and drop-off centers for online customers, said one of the people, who asked not to be named because the deliberations are private.

The possible move, discussed as part of RadioShack’s looming trip to bankruptcy court, would represent Amazon’s biggest push into traditional retail. Amazon joins other potential bidders, including Sprint Corp. and the investment group behind Brookstone, in evaluating RadioShack stores, people familiar with the situation said. RadioShack has more than 4,000 U.S. locations and is moving toward a deal to sell a portion and close the rest, according to some of the people. Sprint has discussed buying 1,300 to 2,000, they said.

The correct, though less common, use of the term refers to those who declare themselves merely "skeptical" of a concept, but in reality would not be convinced by any evidence. Common targets of this kind of pseudoskepticism are global warming,[1] evolution, AIDS, and GMOs. This essentially is cloaked denialism, as there is a vast amount of real evidence which is willfully ignored by these pseudoskeptics. Saying "I am skeptical of X" seems more reasonable than saying "I don't accept X and never will regardless of the evidence", even if the latter is more accurate.

"Pseudoskepticism" is most often used as a loaded term by woo-promoters to dismiss skeptical criticism of their beliefs as unfounded. Some promoters of woo maintain that demanding evidence before accepting an idea is an extreme position, and they feel that we should all be agnostic about, well, everything. Given the difficulty of absolutely disproving even the most absurd hypothesis they then go on to maintain that all those who ask for evidence are "pseudoskeptics".

Consequently, these woo-promoters try to claim the high ground by calling themselves "open-minded." The intent is to draw a contrast with the scientific establishment as "closed-minded" for demanding actual evidence.

As an example, SCEPCOP maintains that pseudoskeptics "will never accept a paranormal [explanation] that includes metaphysical dimensions because they believe it's impossible."[3] It would be interesting to see what they think of the scientific method and methodological naturalism, as these don't necessarily "not believe" in paranormal explanations. Instead, once you've explained something paranormal or metaphysical, it ceases to be paranormal or metaphysical, and becomes part of normal naturalistic reality!

A testable hypothesis' mere implausibility is not enough to utterly reject it — but many such hypotheses, such as homeopathy or dowsing, have, nonetheless, been scientifically tested and rejected. Apart from its contradiction of established science, there is no logical reason to declare that, for example, homeopathy wouldn't "work", since worlds where water has a "memory" and homeopathy works are logically possible. But double-blind tests show the chemical argument against homeopathy to be valid. In this sense, the questions of "skepticism" or "pseudoskepticism" are moot.

London (CNN) A French journalist's ISIS captives cared so little about religion they did not even have a Quran, Didier Francois -- who spent over 10 months as the group's prisoner in Syria -- told CNN's Christiane Amanpour in an exclusive interview on Tuesday.

"There was never really discussion about texts or -- it was not a religious discussion. It was a political discussion."

"It was more hammering what they were believing than teaching us about the Quran. Because it has nothing to do with the Quran."

Malcolm Brenner claims that, in 1970, he had a "consensual sexual relationship" with a dolphin named Dolly, whom he met at a Florida amusement park, when he was taking photographs for a children's book.

Brenner, now 63, was 18 years old when he met Dolly at the dolphin show of the now-defunct Floridaland. He speaks of his time with the aquatic mammal as if it were a romance, and not an act of bestiality, enraging animal rights advocates.

"She would thrust herself against me," he told The Huffington Post in 2011, after he wrote a book about Dolly. He claims she became more gentle during their nine-month affair.

In the film, Brenner explicitly explains how he and Dolly engaged in intercourse and it is depicted with animation.
