ehcross's JournalIs Edward Snowden off limits even if he continues to harm the U.S. with sensitive revelations?
I never imagined I would ever see the United States on its knees. Until Edward Snowden decided to betray his country by violating his oath and exposing to the world a top-secret defense project that was vital to U.S.National Security.
We all know about this affair. We assume that Russia is already done with extracting from Snowden all he has on U.S. National Security.
We know Snowden is a guest of Vladimir Putin.
So, it looks as though the United States has chosen to close the case and lick its wounds outside the borders of former archenemy Russia.
No effort of any kind has been done to try to negotiate with the Russians their handing Snowden to the U.S.
The U.S. has silently surrendered to the Russians without even trying.
THE UNITED STATES HAS LOST WORLD WAR III TO THE RUSSIANS!!!!!
Al Qaeda will tell us what we should not do.
Al what? People have long forgotten about 9/11 and the planes hitting skycrapers, the Pentagon, and a Pennsylvania field. The human brain was thankfully designed to forget when memories are not desired, at least in the case of us elderly.
But memories also fade away to give room for new experiences. Those fading memories remain the sole storage for some time before they vanish altogether.
The Snowden affair somehow reminds us that there are still threats out there. And we take for granted that someone at NSA is doing his job as signals specialist, ready to quickly recognize any threat against the United States and its allies so that action can be taken to neutralize said threat. That was precisely Edward Snowden's job. And it is vital to U.S. security and should not be abandoned under no circumstances.
Does the United States have any interest in nabbing Edward Snowden?
It is really odd that the U.S. did not show much interest in exploring whether there could be any chance of nabbing Edward Snowden, and evidently chose to disregard the issue.
Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff snubs President Obama over NSA spying revelations
Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff decided to potpone a state visit planned in Washington in October, because of revelations that she was the target of U.S. spying.
"Illegal practices of communications interception and citizen's data, businesses, and that of members of government constitute a grave offense which challenges national sovereignty and individual's rights, and is incompatible with democratic relations between friendly governments.
Is the U.S. going to press Russia to have Edward Snowden delivered to U.S?
Are U.S. citizens less less secure from a 9/11-type attack because of Snowden´s ongoing revelations?
Should the West bomb Syria'
