GOP Governor candidate Neel Kashkari

I think we need to shed some light on this guy. I've seen his ads on Youtube and, sadly, on DU (along with Allen West's). One of his ads declares, "Jobs. Education. That's It.". Who is funding him, what his history is, why he's running against the High Speed Rail Project (which will create jobs) - I don't want any surprises come Election Day.
