Kyrsten Sinema Got Mocked For Posting A Picture Of Her Brunching While Wearing A Ring That Reads...

‘Fuck Off’

Kyrsten Sinema has become one of the least popular Democrats in Congress, not only for so often siding with those on the other side of the aisle but for doing so in sometimes flamboyant fashion. In March, she became persona non grata on social media after footage making a goofy — and, many charged, cartoonishly insensitive — show out of voting down a bill to raise the minimum wage for the first time in 12 years. Now it’s a picture that’s driving people mad.

The Arizona Senator posted it in her Instagram stories, but it found its way to Twitter thanks to a screengrab. It finds Sinema at what looks like a gawdy Sunday brunch, at a table, emphatically sipping from what appears to be a Sangria. Her pink hat matches her pink glasses, but there was another fashion accessory that jumped out at people: a ring that bears the words “F*ck off.”

People had a lot of fun mocking her get-up, but most dwelled on the latter. It was a reminder that Sinema rarely toes the party line, seeing herself as an individual, not someone who could help her fellow Democrats achieve some real goals that could help people, like a substantially raised minimum wage. It was also reminiscent of Melania Trump’s infamous jacket bearing the words “I really don’t care do u?”, which was seen as a big middle finger to her husband’s countless critics (and all the people whose lives he ruined or made difficult).

So when people zoomed in on Sinema’s “f*ck you” ring, it seemed like it was directed towards constituents stuck with a low minimum wage.

FULL EVIDENCE: Climate scientist Michael Mann at the Australian Senate Media Diversity Inquiry

On Monday 12 April 2021, Michael Mann fronted the Senate Media Diversity Inquiry.

I recommend you take a look at his comments, especially on News Corporation's disinformation campaign over climate science.

Rupert Murdoch is a threat to Australia's democracy and our action on climate change.

FULL TESTIMONY: Editors Bruce Guthrie, Peter Fray and Andrew Jaspan at the Media Diversity Inquiry

On Monday 12 April 2021, newspaper editors Bruce Guthrie, Peter Fray and Andrew Jaspan fronted the Senate Media Diversity Inquiry.

I recommend you take a look at their remarks, and their chilling reflections on News Corporation's tactics.

Malcolm Turnbull's full evidence to the Australian Senate Media Diversity Inquiry

On Monday 12 April 2021, the former Liberal Prime Minister of Australia, Malcolm Turnbull, fronted the Senate Media Diversity Inquiry.

We may not see eye-to-eye on many things, but I encourage you to view these remarks on Murdoch's monopoly and their "mafia gang" tactics.

Murdoch is unquestionably a threat to our democracy.

John Boehner for all of his whining about crazies in the GOP voted for Trump in 2020

Do municipalities have quotas for arrests made? If so, could this be a part of aggressive policing?

You tell me.

Lawyer: Accuser Rioter Free On Bail Has Stiffed Me

The Daily Beast reports:

A Massachusetts Trump supporter who openly associates with known neo-Nazis and took part in the Jan. 6 Capitol siege has stiffed his lawyer, and continues to attend far-right political rallies while under indictment, according to the man’s attorney and photographs provided to The Daily Beast.

At best, say legal experts, Mark Sahady’s behavior is bad optics and could serve to irritate the judge deciding his fate. At worst, his actions could potentially constitute a violation of the bail conditions set by the court.

“I have a motion to disappear from the case because (1) my client hasn’t paid me at all for work performed in this case and (2) he is not returning my phone calls,” defense attorney Rinaldo Del Gallo III told The Daily Beast in an email.

Federal Appeals Court Suspends Larry Klayman from Practicing Law in D.C.

A federal appeals court on Friday suspended attorney and activist Larry Klayman — the founder of conservative legal organization Judicial Watch — for representing clients on both sides of the same legal dispute with clear conflict of interest implications. In a harshly worded 13-page opinion penned by Judge David S. Tatel, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit imposed a reciprocal 90-day suspension on the Laura Loomer, George Zimmerman, and Joe Arpaio attorney, also referring Klayman’s case to the Committee on Grievances for recommendations “on whether further discipline is warranted.”

Would harsh mandatory minimum sentences for gun related accidents/crimes be a better approach?

Like they did with marijuana back in the 1980s. Get caught with a seed stuck on the floor of your car - ten years no exceptions.

Misfire your gun by accident - 6 months - 3 years
Illegal possession - 5+ years
Accidental deaths - 5-15 years
Use a gun to commit crimes even if you didn't fire - 25 years

yada yada

I do think most gun owners/enthusiasts/collectors are responsible but something needs to be done about those who aren't.

Just an idea.

If antifa is such a threat shouldn't antifa imagery, movies and comics be cancelled?

They're so disrespectful to the glory of fascism!

We're talking 'Why We Fight', 'The Bridge over the River Kwai', 'The Great Escape', 'The Dirty Dozen', 'Casablanca', 'The Invaders', 'Band of Brothers', 'Saving Private Ryan', 'Inglourious Basterds', 'The Sound of Music', 'The Great Dictator' etc... Captain America, Wonder Woman, etc... Dr. Seuss...
