womanofthehills's JournalUS drs in Gaza tell of horrific conditions
Besides the horrible traumatic injuries - American drs are seeing lots of meningitis because of no water to bathe, sewage everywhere, no meds etc. Dr are having to amputate peoples feet because many now dont have shoes and are getting bad foot infections and there are no antibiotics.

AOC -"They must live under a rock to not know I don't take well to bullies"
Yesterday my House office was tagged with blood-splattered signs accusing me of supporting terrorism after I questioned the pager operation, which clearly runs counter to US policy.
They must live under a rock to not know I dont take well to bullies.

Bernie - "US complicity in this horrific war must end"
In the last year alone and against my vote, Congress has sent more than $10 billion in taxpayer dollars to the extremist Israeli government to buy more of the bombs & weapons they're using against the Palestinian people.
Enough.
U.S. complicity in this horrific war must end.

ABC News AU - " Israeli forces accused of killing their own citizens under the 'Hannibal Directive' during October 7
In July, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz revealed commanders in the IDF gave the order to fire on troops who had been captured by Hamas at three separate locations, explicitly referencing the Hannibal Directive.
One former Israeli officer, Air Force Colonel Nof Erez, told a Haaretz podcast the directive was not specifically ordered but was "apparently applied" by responding aircrews.
Panicked, operating without their normal command structure and unable to coordinate with ground forces, they fired on vehicles returning to Gaza, knowing they were likely carrying hostages.
"This was a mass Hannibal. It was tons and tons of openings in the fence, and thousands of people in every type of vehicle, some with hostages and some without," Colonel Erez said.

How the Watermelon Became a Symbol of Palestinian Solidarity
Time.com
The use of the watermelon as a Palestinian symbol is not new. It first emerged after the Six-Day War in 1967, when Israel seized control of the West Bank and Gaza, and annexed East Jerusalem. At the time, the Israeli government made public displays of the Palestinian flag a criminal offense in Gaza and the West Bank.
To circumvent the ban, Palestinians began using the watermelon because, when cut open, the fruit bears the national colors of the Palestinian flagred, black, white, and green.

Nassau County lawmakers vote to ban masks in public
LONG ISLAND, N.Y. (PIX11) Nassau County lawmakers voted to ban masks on Monday night.
The ban passed with 12 people voting yes and seven abstaining.
In a statement, the New York Civil Liberties Union condemned the vote, saying:
Nassau Countys mask ban is a dangerous misuse of the law to score political points and target protestors. Barring people who speak out from protecting themselves and their identities puts their health and well-being in danger, particularly people with disabilities, people of color, and those with unpopular views. Masks protect people who express political opinions that are unpopular. Making anonymous protest illegal chills political action and is ripe for selective enforcement, leading to doxxing, surveillance, and retaliation against protesters. Banning face masks also puts Nassau County residents health at risk. With COVID-19 on the rise across Long Island, face coverings are critical to protecting the health of an individual, their family, and their community
The bans so-called health and religious exceptions are entirely inadequate: Nassau County police officers are not health professionals or religious experts capable of deciding who needs a mask and who doesnt.
