(48,955 posts)Last gov was a privatization freak - who folks wanted (on the right) to run for Pres. The one thing I will say nice about Mitch - was that he did try to get the religious right to back down.
Now you have this gov - who thought he was the conservative gift to the country when he was Minority whip in the House of Rep - who returns to Indiana with what most Hoosiers (even those who support him) to preen for a presidential bid (but unlike Mitch - no one but him really wants him as pres.)
I am guessing that his presidential run (in his imagination only) has just come to a screeching halt.
Hey Gov: Bigotry really isn't a modern value of a civil society. Your claims that this law, did not intend to allow discrimination, are belied by your private signing - your initial preening around "Of Course I will Sign This". Your sudden concern that this law might cause harm to some citizens based on legalized discrimination or that the state's economy may take a major hit because indicates that some employees/customers/clients/execs would be treated as less than equal in this state - all make you look craven. And certainly illequipt to be gov., let alone president.
