A child given up for adoption who chooses not to persue a relationship with his/her birth parent has every right to choose to not want them back in their lives. Especially when the birth parent suddenly shows interest after the child has made good.

Totally personal choice, but he doesn't owe her a place in his life. It does not make him an asshole, and really his relationship or lack thereof with her is none of the rest of ours business.
