Can someone clarify something about the supposed "banned words" given to the CDC?

My understanding is it was reported by the Washington Post on Saturday, and I think there were around seven words. Now I'm reading a denial that this mandate ever existed. I'm thinking WTF? Did someone intentionally feed The Post bogus information to e/affect their credibility?

1. Hmm. I think this is a clip of 3 of them, the sacred words: Ni, Ping, and Nuu-wom!

2. 1. The Trump Administration lies more often than it tells the truth.

2. The Washington Post not only stands by its reporting, it now says the ban applies to other agencies in HHS.

3. Sources at CDC confirm it.

The guidance comes from the Office of Management and Budget, but nobody has identified the people responsible.

3. The guidance apparently only applies to budget documents

Which is exactly what the Post reported, but the headline made it look like the words were banned on all CDC documents.

5. If it applies to the budget documents then it's still

outlandish from my understanding...
