Just heard this Trump twit on AMJOY

She said that most Americans can benefit from any amount of added money in their paycheck. I think the estimate is $18-20 dollars per check. She then listed gas, food and other essentials for using it. Does this fool think $18 will cover one of those???

On my local news last night the newscaster said the extra cash will help some people renovate their homes
or buy a new car.

any home renovation project or shopped for a new car, obviously.

When my wife's late mother's condo townhouse was going up for sale to cover her expenses in a memory care unit, it needed overall interior painting, new carpeting and a new kitchen counter to get a good price in the local market. $25,000 later, all that work was finished. It was worth the cost, and returned more than that amount in increased value. My wife and I wish we could do something similar for our own home while we're still living in it, but that ain't happening. We simply can't afford it, and Trump's Tax Bill isn't going to let us do that, either.

https://www.cnbc.com/2017/09/28/gary-cohn-says-1000-in-tax-savings-can-buy-a-family-a-car-kitchen.html

Economic advisor Gary Cohn said Thursday that an American family could save $1,000 under the Republicans' proposed tax reform plan, and it could use that money to pay for a new car or a kitchen.

"If we allow a family to keep another thousand dollars of their income, what does that mean? They can renovate their kitchen, they can buy a new car, they can take their family on vacation, they can increase their lifestyle," he said. "That's what our tax plan has to do."

You should call them out on it.

Actually, you can pay off a new car a lot faster than the debt we all just incurred. The irony, the interest we pay will be maintaining and fueling that car.

My mechanic wanted to charge me $900 to repair. Is that the kind of car one could buy with their enormous tax cut from twitler and the gop?

No one disputes that many Americans will be getting a few dollars more in their paychecks. The issue is the gross inequity between what most get as opposed to what a few get.
The con here is give a few bucks to the masses, while steathily cutting services and removing health care subsidies, and maybe they won't notice by Nov. 2018.
This is why we must stay alert, strong, and Rise Up against this sham!
