they sure do love their sexual and scatalogical humor.

Best times I ever had were around drunk Germans during festival season.

That was right here in my adopted home town of Düsseldorf, where the Karneval parade is a huge yearly event every "Rose Monday." Known as "Lido," the man shows no mercy with the severity of his biting political satire, and as you can see, his reputation is well-deserved.

seems so long ago, when we were PROUD of the President of this country. Everyone worldwide(except the gop) knew what a treasure he was and still is. So many other countries wanted him for themselves when he left office. NOBODY would want tRump.

Its a shame that so many Americans seemingly value so little how they are perceived around the world. That they take it almost as a badge of honor to be hated by others. That if they had to choose one, feared or respected, they choose the former.

Google the image, there are lots of media sources that used that July 24, 2008 photo of Obama on the last leg of his final European tour while visiting Berlin with the Brandenburg Gate as backdrop.

There have been a couple of complaints that this is an old photo so try this one form earlier this year - also in Berlin at the Brandenburg Gate. (My first ever attempt to upload a picture to DU so bear with me if doesn't appear) https://imgur.com/JFynoDg

Edit: Well it doesn't seem to appear, at least not right away, so just click the link. I'll figure it out sometime. The Deutsche Welle article is at http://www.dw.com/en/obama-speaks-at-landmark-berlin-christian-convention/g-38979943 and guess what - in the group of photos accompanying the article they also harken back to the rally from 2008.

Edit: See, at 70 I can still learn new tricks.
