2. My daughter in law

gave her toddler (my grandson) his own small tree that he can decorate and redecorate himself, and put it in the same room with the big tree. He has stayed away from the big tree because his own is so easy to reach.

7. I'm going to do that next year for my grandson.

Thanks for the suggestion!

We didn't put up a tree this year, or any other decoration. We're doing some remodeling, so I guess we're decorating with dust. I had already decided that I wouldn't put up a tree anyway. My 15 month old grandson is here a lot, and I just don't feel like having that temptation around. He'll be old enough to understand next year. Besides the toddler aspect, I just don't feel like doing the usual things this year, thanks to 45 and repubs.

The tree at my grandson's house looks just like the one in the picture. Nothing at the bottom. What my human grandson didn't take off, the canine grandson did.

3. For me, it's cats.

They've stripped off any ornaments they can reach.

4. Presents with ribbons and bow are an invitation to disaster.

Nobody needs to bother opening them with cats around.

Anything fragile goes up top.

6. None of ours are fragile - at least in the costly sense.

Everything is handmade every year from standard craft supplies. But puff-balls in kitty tummies is not a good combination.

11. But the tinsel brings some bling to the litterbox!

Where is your Christmas spirit, Ms Toad?

8. If it was truly republican, it would only have a star on top.....

...and the bottom third of the tree would be dead.
