"I don't care if the NSA listens to my phone calls...I have nothing to hide"....

We can all remember when that was a common comment from Republicans.

But now, it seems to have changed? They are not pleased that the FBI listened in to conversations with the Russians and some in the Trump campaign?

They act as if there is something to hide after all. It's OK to lie and to obstruct and to cover up if it might expose an uncomfortable truth or a criminal act.

Otherwise, it would be an open book. Let's get to the bottom of it. We have nothing to fear but fear itself. If someone did something criminal, let us find out. How long can this investigation last if nobody wants to come clean? It's a different story when it is your ox about to be gored.

We see clearly that some people cannot handle the truth. Why would they continue to lie? How difficult can it be to simply tell the truth and stop hiding the facts? Is that too much to ask?

Put it all on the table and let's get this over with. Let's find out what the Russians did and whether anyone in our country assisted them in their plot? Isn't that the patriotic thing to do?

outlining of the 3 types of cut outs used by Russia may be useful in putting it all out on the table.

Looking particularly at the surrogates for Trump among Republican office holders, there seems to be 2 types.

There are the early surrogates who came out for Trump in the election cycle. (Some of these continue to be high-profile for Trump, others have gone quiet). Rep. Devin Nunes-CA and Sen. David Perdue-GA are examples.

There is a new crop of surrogates since the election. Rep.Francis Rooney-FL is a recent example.

I wonder if any enterprising reporters might want to ask Republicans about that, instead of trooping off to East Bumblefuck to talk to still-loyal Trump voters?
