There seems to be an aura that the Trump era is nearing it's end. It seems inconceivable that he can continue in office with the majority of the country believing him to be emotionally/mentally unfit.
Then again, if the Republicans do not act, what's to be done? Will he continue to stumble around until he actually does shoot someone on fifth avenue? Would the Republicans act then? Or would they continue to be a gathering of "profiles in cowardly self interest." I really don't know. What do you think?

With Repubs in control (I hesitate to say they are "in charge" ) I suspect Trump will continue to reel along from crisis to crisis for another year, at least. Hopefully, we get a blue wave in '18 and Trump does his usual and quits.

(12,158 posts)planned before The Book hit the news? Was the meeting set up for the repubs to discuss the midterms? That's what I'm hearing on TV.
I keep hoping the real purpose of the Camp David meeting is for the top repubs to encourage trump to resign - or face impeachment and removal from office. But that would be too good to be true.

It's hard to resign myself to what's probably reality.
