(51,590 posts)DO NOT DO THIS! Unless you want to go ballistic like I did. Half of the comments thought that Miller "owned" and "destroyed" Tapper on the "fake news station sponsored by Hilary". I am NOT kidding. Half LOVE Miller and a third thought he was on drugs. Obviously they have never seen him before or they would've known that this is how he is 100% of the time...he IS this way normally (more like ABnormally). If so many people really believe this shit than we are in terrible danger as a country. Worse than I already thought we were before I read the comments.

(19,200 posts)bots are all over youtube. If you believed all the comments on youtube Trump would have a 75% approval rating in the polls.

(51,590 posts)Thank you. I was SOOO depressed. Someone else responded to another post on the subject and said the same thing. I will be able to sleep better tonight. I thought that by living in a blue city and state that I was living in a fool's paradise and the rest of the US really thinks these things. Last week I heard from an old friend from art school and it turns out she drank the Kool-aid is one of "them" and was horrified.

(19,200 posts)Youtube is heavily 'botted", as well as the Yahoo message boards, The Guardian's comment section etc. The difference can be seen most on Yahoo, where one particular story about Trump will be overwhelmingly in favor of Trump by a 3-1 margin, but a story just below that one will be anti-Trump by a 6-1 margin. They can't possibly hit all the Trump stories where he acts like a complete tool, there's just so many of them. But the occasional Trump story will tilt heavily toward Trump. Now how does that happen? The Kremlin keyboard kommandos and the Trumptards with their bots. You'll notice that most of the comments are quite similar, or exactly similar, very short, and never detailed in their defense of Trump. They have 5 or 6 stock comments to choose from, and though they try to alternate them up a bit, a distinct pattern is quite visible.
Don't worry, it gets to a lot of people (myself included at first), but once you know what to look for it's quite transparent.

(51,590 posts)Do the bots people and trolls get paid for doing this or do they do it for themselves and their favorite politicians to stir up trouble and hostility?

(19,200 posts)They're Republicans (and Russians) so cheating, lying, and stuffing the ballot box is necessary to keep their self-delusions intact. For them, you can't put a price on self-delusion.

(1,798 posts)and believe me they're very worrying for the future of our country. They pretty much want to do away with the 20th century and don't give a shit if America fails because of it.
