audience was THINKING, being, as we are, starved for intelligent, thoughtful, articulate leadership.

But, while I agree we need someone with the intelligence, grace, and humility AND experience/understanding of government to clean up after Trump, it is not that an outsider, or intelligent media personality could NOT be a good leader. It is that Trump had NONE of those traits and only EGO, VINDICTIVENESS, Greed, and Narcissism, with an absolute unwillingness/inability to learn the job. While Oprah won't want the job, there should be NO comparison between the two.

Trump and Oprah?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Trump_presidential_campaign,_2000

Donald campaigned/ran for Prez in 2000

Trump focused his campaign on the issues of fair trade, eliminating the national debt, and achieving universal healthcare as outlined in the campaign companion piece The America We Deserve, released in January 2000. He named media proprietor Oprah Winfrey as his ideal running mate and said he would instantly marry his girlfriend, Melania Knauss, to make her First Lady.

And don't want him as VP (although that combo would be unstoppable most likely as they're both so well-liked in general, though not necessarily by the same folks ... it'd be a BIG tent).

I assumed the original reference was to 'Kid Rock', and it was a joke you may've misunderstood. Didn't recall 2000/2004, and what 'The Rock' did at the time, sounded more like something Kid Rock would've done.

Ofice because of what he did (Seth) at the Correspondents Dinner in '11 to trump. So during his opening tonight he looked at Oprah and told her she'd be a terrible President and NOT to run and then told Tom Hanks, don't you run as her V.P. (not his exact words but something like that). I thought Seth did a GREAT job tonight!
