My theory about Trump's business success (reinforced by FIRE & FURY)

Trump has said he never had work plans, he just "went into the office and waited for things to happen". I think it's likely that his behavior then was like it is now; he went to the office and spent his time on the phone talking to friends and promoting himself to media contacts while other people did the hard planning and negotiations; then he'd show up at the end to sign the "deal".

So he sold his financial soul to the Russians who bought him

I'm sure that he imagines himself to be integral to the process, much like Lucky the Leprechaun probably imagines that he personally makes the cereal that has his face on it.

Or infrastructure.

These are his biggest campaign-promises. And he is leaving these projects to Congress, from beginning to end.

Trump was nowhere to be seen when it came to passing an ACA-replacement.

Trump was nowhere to be seen when it came to crafting a tax-reform.

The quote was about W.

It applies to Trump even more than Bush.

Anne Richards was a former governor of Texas at the time.

I argued with supporters of both that if they wanted a business man to run the government at least pick one who was successful on his own. So the pick Dumbya and tRump and could've picked Carly Fiorina another business "success."

Mama sez, "Stupid is as stupid does." How did our nation end up being lead by a stable of "Stable geniuses?"

he only cared about winning by any means.

if the contest was two teams set up a lemonade stand and whoever makes the most money wins, and one of the contestants calls his rich uncle who buys $10,000 worth of lemonade, then hey, that team wins.

i don't think he even understands that that's "cheating" or defeats what anyone else would think the whole point of having a contest was. because to him, that is the whole point of having a contest because he's the one pocketing the $10,000.

then he gets to fire someone and it's all about who can insult their colleagues the best. the biggest mouth with the most outrageous insults an lies gets to name the person who gets the ax.

it's clear he couldn't make lemonade himself, but he could call up someone and get them to pay $10,000 for a cup of warm piss. hey, that's business the donnie way.

It's pretty clear from watching it that the theories about his current mental state are on to something. You don't see him relying on filler words like "great," "tremendous," "huge," etc. That said, it's also clear from watching it that he's never been more than a salesman.

It was clear Trump had no clue what was in either bill and couldn't care less what was in them so long as he got to pretend to have lead the charge when he signed it. In the case of the Obamacare it didn't even make it that far.

Could you imagine even Nixon having this little knowledge of actual legislation in congress? He's a disaster.
