(182,788 posts)There was clearly a chant of (something) Trump prior to that.
That's what I picked up.

(13,869 posts)We both heard more boos than cheers, and the USAUSA cheer seemed like an attempt to drown out the boos.

(4,066 posts)I have friends who live in the Atlanta area in Cobb county. The joke is Cobb stands for County Operated By Bigots.
What did you expect? The city of Atlanta may be blue, but the state is red.

(3,922 posts)You could hear the difference when they announced a Georgia favorite as one of the Captains. It was a mixed reception for the photo op.

(1,822 posts)Georgia vs Bama w/ a country band singing the national anthem. If Trump doesnt get cheered here he might as well fold up shop and go home. I wonder if he goes to the game if it hadnt been 2 teams that likely would support him among their fanbases?

(6,679 posts)If any of those people had to commute to the game it would have been hell.
The closest marta stations were closed because of the president.
Rolling freeway closures right down the middle of Atlanta... in rush hour.. thanks to the President. I can't even imagine the back up on the connector.
Then once you get there you have to get in. Imagine the extra security and how long it took to get in. A good half of the seats didn't fill up until after the game started. I noticed.
We are talking a LOT of pissed people.

(2,785 posts)and on the inside it was a mix bag. Lot's of boos mixed in with cheers. Hard to tell for sure what the political sentiments are at a football game, but one thing is for sure all those that booed really don't like Trump. You cannot assume that those who cheered like or approve of Trump often times people just cheer for politicians at these things out of tradition and trying to be polite.
