After listening all day to GOPers opining on a possible presidential run by Oprah Winfrey, it seems that some things need to be spelled-out for you.
You are in no position – I repeat, NO position whatsoever – to comment on the qualifications necessary to govern a nation.
Your “pResident” is a well-known liar. That is not speculation; it is well-documented, proven fact. Therefore, you cannot credibly comment on any potential Democratic candidate’s honesty or truthfulness.
Your “pResident” came to the White House completely ignorant of the workings of government or the duties of his office, and that ignorance continues to manifest itself on a regular basis. Therefore, you cannot point to anyone’s inexperience as a reason for not taking them seriously as a contender for the office of POTUS.
Your “pResident’s” past business experience is known to be littered with bankruptcies, shady business deals, and cheating hard-working Americans out of their compensation for work done on his behalf. Therefore, you can never say that any presidential candidate should be dismissed out-of-hand on the basis of their own history.
Your “pResident” has appointed completely inexperienced and incompetent people to positions of power – and several of them are now under indictment, have pled guilty to crimes, or are likely to be indicted in the near future. Therefore, you have no grounds for claiming that any candidate for the presidency should be somehow disqualified due to an inability to create an administration that will actually serve the public good.
Your “pResident”, along with his colleagues and family members, has attempted to cover-up, obfuscate, and thwart every attempt by Robert Mueller to determine if they are involved in criminal activity with respect to the Russians interfering in our elections. Therefore, you are in no position to even question the patriotism or motives of any candidate for any office.
Your “pResident” has shown unmistakable signs of mental deterioration, an inability to grasp reality, and – to put it bluntly – abject stupidity beyond all imagining. He continually contradicts himself, loses his train of thought mid-sentence, and can’t even put a coherent “tweet” together. Therefore, you have no grounds for declaring anyone unfit for the Oval Office.
Your “pResident” is on record as being a self-declared, pussy-grabbing, sexual predator. Therefore, you have no credibility when it comes to questioning anyone’s moral rectitude.
I am neither advocating Winfrey’s possible run for office, nor am I dismissing it. The fact is that your “pResident” – and your support of him – has placed you in the position of not being trustworthy in your assessment of any of the qualifications that should be considered before placing someone in the highest position in the nation.
You have defended – and continue to defend – a lying, pussy-grabbing, self-absorbed narcissist who has insulted our allies, demeaned our democratic institutions, and lowered our country’s standing in the world – all while spending his time tweeting, watching TV, and golfing. He has enriched himself personally by virtue of his position, and is seen as a clueless buffoon by the global community.
THIS is the man you elevated to POTUS – a man who refers to himself as a “very stable genius” in the face of growing alarm that he demonstrates his mental and emotional incompetence on a daily basis.
Therefore, Republicans, you are forever precluded from so much as questioning the honesty, competence, and qualifications of any candidate for any office, anywhere at any time.
You elected a clown – and now the entire country is living with the disastrous circus that is his presidency.
Right now, it would behoove you all to keep your mouths shut. If we, the citizenry, ever want another fucking idiot running the country, we know which party to call on. There’s no longer any need to advertise the fact that you can provide one.
