It is a mark of the ruthless narcissist, a desire to inflict as much damage upon someone
whom he perceives has wronged him in some way. The victim may have done nothing at all.
It is the abuser's mental illness and distortions which are the triggers.

The abuser will lie, slander, accuse the targeted person in order to inflict pain.
And to deflect from his own wrong doing.

Another explanation is that Trump's base love Hillary bashing and he does it to
get their approval and support.

Also he may just want to confuse the public about his own wrong doing.

Trump reminds me of one of those sick perverts from a CSI episode that cover their walls with photos of their victim. Whatever twisted fantasy is running through his head can't be normal.
