Local FOX radio station trying to excuse tRumps comments.

I was listening to see how the repukes would spin this one and heard a guy on the morning show try to excuse this by saying that tRump meant the condition of the country - explaining that Haiti is in terrible condition (physically) and that someone in a private setting might refer to it as a "s---hole".

Is that it misses the real context of the discussion by focusing on that phrase.

Nobody was suggesting that Trump move there.

The discussion was about PEOPLE - people immigrating to live HERE.

Yah, sure, someone might refer to all sorts of places as a "shithole". But the larger point missed in this reductionist approach, is that the worth or value of human beings is somehow related to their country of origin.

The comment wasn't about "shithole countries" it was about "people from shithole countries".

And I sent email to them pointing out that it was about the people and called them racist for supporting tRump by trying to distort his meaning.

apparently they are not jumping on the tweet where Trump walks it all back and claims it was never said.

I am happy to learn they admitted the statement by Trump...everything else after that is static white noise.
