According to the article, he has paid multiple times to keep salacious info from going public. If anything, L’affaire Stormy proves he is susceptible to blackmail and open to cooperation with Putin in exchange for suppression of the pee tape.

... a porn star. Do you think his base is disgusted or high fiving? It won’t dent him a bit. But it would help cover some other story dropping. “New report on the campaign’s collusion with ... holy shit, look at the porn star Trump was havin an affair with...”.

Not saying that’s it for certain, but when the WSJ breaks an anti Trump story, we should all raise at least one eyebrow.
