Should Be Very Clear Impeachment/25th Amendment A Complete Fantasy.

Based on what we are seeing with the GOP lately Trump is hear to stay. Period. The GOP will defend him and support him no matter what happens or how bad things get. And that means no matter how horribly bad things get. I see nothing on the horizon that will change damned thing really.

We have only two hopes. One is a huge victory in November for the Democrats. The other is that Trump goes so nuts publicly that something just has to be done. That means him doing something so bad it panics the country in to action demanding he go. It would be something that gives the GOP absolutely NO options at all.

The GOP defense of Trump and his rhetoric to day should make it so absolutely clear where the GOP is.

However, depending on how Mueller's probe unfolds, and the outcome of the midterms, I'll never say never...

The GOP is the sole arbiter as to whether crimes are punished. The could decide to do nothing to the criminals even if conspiracy is absolutely proven. You still have to have someone arrest and prosecute the offenders. Plus Trump could pardon everyone while GOP stands aside or obstructs more.

If he were arrested in New York for money laundering, I think the Republicans would have no choice but to get rid of him.

Short of that, all we can hope is to win one house of Congress and limit the damage he can do.

and make Pence the President. I can see them doing it closer to November if it looks probable that Dems will pick up the House and the Senate. Impeachment then could result Pelosi being appointed to the Presidency (assuming she is the Speaker of the House) if the corruption taints the entire admintration.

they will be controlling how the investigations are done -- and thorough investigations are likely to leave the Senate with no choice, even for the Rethugs.
