My Sense Is That McCain Will Not Be Coming Back To The Senate.

He could have been a really great Senator. He was just too squirrelly as far as I am concerned. And he was not really a maverick either. He was really on just a GOP loyalist.

And I base that solely on what I experienced with my Dad. McCcain has that same look in his eyes as my Dad's, when the brain tumor started to prove its invincibility.

As much as I do not like McCain's politics, my heart is breaking for him, and for his family.

3. I'm sorry about your Dad, Siwsan. Brain cancer is such a horrible thing.

I remember the last moments with my beloved Vietnam Vet after a very long struggle.

My heart breaks for Senator McCain and his family and if I could hug them right now, I would.

There comes a point when you don’t get better. I think he’s where he should be. Home.

If nothing else he’s taught us a lot about how people can do both good and bad things. I wish him a peaceful passage.

I like him and respect him, while also thinking he is a jerk. He was very respectful towards Obama in '08 but ran with Sarah Palin, who was the pre-Trump, appealing to America's worse instincts.

All in all, I wish him well.

7. I sort of liked him when he gave the "thumbs down" in front of McConnell and the rest....

... of his caucus, during the healthcare debate. That was rather delicious.

He gave the thumbs down to be a prick to McConnell, not to help us in any way.

13. That's him to a T. Vindictive, not compassionate.

And I bet he adopted the "maverick" label because he liked the movie Top Gun (which he definitely wasn't).
