I am a bit confused about Bannon's appearance today.

The first reports were that he refused to answer questions, triggering a subpoena from the House Intelligence Committee.

However, Congresswoman Sepier just appeared on Hardball with Chris Matthews. In addition to saying that Bannon took a shave and appeared dressed appropriately, that he wanted to cooperate and answer questions but that his lawyer wouldn't allow him to. Also, she continued that there were documents they wanted that weren't produced.

How does forcing the committee to issue a supeona help Bannon?

I think you can have a lawyer with you when you testify before a Senate committee.

4. It sounds like the House Intel was stepping over into Mueller territory?

Bannon knows it is serious business. Too bad that Devin Nunes doesn't know that.
