Publisher of Ivanka's Book Lost Money

An investigation by Forbes' Deniz Cam suggests there's a major possibility that Ivanka Trump's book, Women Who Work, has cost her publisher $220,000. The reason? The book, published by a division of Penguin Random House and marketed as a women's empowerment memoir, just didn't sell.

"This is not a moneymaker for [Penguin Random House]," an anonymous publishing executive reportedly told Forbes, of Trump's book, describing the publishing giant as "so under water."

The book, which came out in May of 2017, is reportedly selling so poorly that the first daughter would have to increase her sales fivefold in order to exceed her advance, which still hasn't been entirely doled out. (Trump got a $787,500 advance prior to her taking up an official role in her father's White House, Forbes reports.)

Hell, the woman's got money enough to capitalize publication. Aided by Penguin Random House's distribution network, the book would make it into all the best stores and, "once it's a worldwide bestseller, you can take the lion's share of the profit, Ivanka!" The publisher isn't out on printing, Ivanka has the dream of a greater take than other, comparable writers, and the only one who'd truly lose money if the book tanked is Mrs Kushner herself.

Surely, someone at the publisher's house had the foresight to see this book wouldn't sell. Long before it came out, Ivanka became poisoned fruit. Unless the intent was to curry favor with Daddy A-dolt Twitler, Random House had to know this book wasn't going to move. Either way, I'll not lose sleep over their misfortune.

Working people aren't interested in reading it because Ivanka has no concept of real work, it's not red meat for the Republican women, and unless it had naked pictures of Ivanka, Republican men don't care what she has to say.

It's effectively a vanity publication she got some idiot to pay her an obscene amount of money for.
