Republican House Bill Would Criminalize Poverty For Dreamers

Republican House Bill Would Criminalize Poverty For Dreamers
by Colin Kalmbacher | 1:03 pm, January 20th, 2018

House Republicans have introduced a bill that would criminalize Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (“DACA”) program recipients (“Dreamers”) who fall below certain income metrics.

In effect, and explicitly, this equates to a criminalization of poverty–for Dreamers alone–because the income metrics used in the bill are based off of federal poverty levels.

Spotted this part of the DACA Dreamers Bill. So if you have a Green Card and can't earn a living wage, you go to Debtors Prison. And the GOP would determine the base line? And you must make 135% of that base line.

Oh by the way, most White Folks in those Red States would be the next ones because they are sucking up all those Government Benefits.

Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell at work.

Outright class warfare. Outright hate.

that green-card applicants are required to submit?

These particular requirements were around in the '80s and '90s, and every time since then.

Is the proposal concerning the Dreamers the same or different?
