Boom! Fact! Said by a white woman and as one myself I must agree.
.........................................
The president of Planned Parenthood called on white women to do more to "save this country from itself," crediting women of color with many of the recent political victories.

"These victories were led and made possible by women of color," Richards said.
She urged white women to join forces with women of color to change the nation.
"So, white women, listen up. We've got to do better. ... It is not up to women of color to save this country from itself. That's on all of us. That's on all of us," said Richards, who also heads the Planned Parenthood Action Fund.
"These victories were led and made possible by women of color," Richards said.
She urged white women to join forces with women of color to change the nation.
"The good news is when we are in full on sisterhood, women are the most powerful, political force in America," she said.

(61,775 posts)Republican stepford wives won't hear it, but the country is teetering on the brink. There are many states where black women can't repeat what happened in Alabama because they don't have the raw numbers. We're getting an influx of women candidates this year. Perhaps this will motivate other women to at least pay attention and get out and vote.
Hell, the real problem of the last few decades is lack of participation. Women are half of the population. Increase their participation numbers and we'll make some progress.
