Until that happens the democratic party has virtually no power to do anything. I applaud the dems in Congress for doing everything they can at this horrible time in America's history.

should never have been withheld and, in return, we received MITCH MCCONNELL'S WORD wrapped in so many "what ifs" and potential "Oops, sorry"'s as to amount to, at best, a huge question mark.

True, Mitch could uncharacteristically keep his word. But, even if he does, where are we---and the dreamers---if: 1.) The bill we wind up voting on includes $20 billion for Trump's wall and makes it a CRIME for Dreamer's income to fall below 125% of the poverty level for 90 days? Or, 2.)A reasonable bill passes in the Senate and the Nazis in the House reject it? Or, even 3.) A reasonable bill passes both houses and Trump listens to Steve Miller(again) and vetoes it?

I do respect your right to disagree and even admire what I'm sure you see as party loyalty, but I earnestly believe we got hosed and that the Republicans are struggling to conceal their laughter at our having folded after two and one half days.

But I do know it was the best deal possible...hey why not contact Sarandon, Stein, Turner ET AL...ask them why they said the parties were the same and encouraged folks to vote for stupid Stein or sit this one out...it is their fault our Democrat leaders have no power to get a better deal. Elections have consequences. Schumer got the best deal he could considering the numbers. Some have talked about what the GOP did...well they did little until 2011 when they won back the House because our folks sat on their hands in the ten midterms...then the GOP sabotaged President Obama for the rest of his term...Dems failed to show up again in 14 and we lost the Senate as well and a chance for a SCOTUS appointee. Elections have consequences. Time Democrats learned this and that it is imperative to always show up at mid terms and vote for the Democrat candidate no exceptions....no feet to the fire/used care salesman bullshit.
