He will never understand why we all just don't love him. He "knows" what is good for us. He is after all president and gets to do whatever he wants right?

He is such a puke.

And he's had a lifetime of practice to build his own stage and props to promote himself.

I am glad to read that he's having difficulty in his new gig.

THEY, like top Democrats here, abide by the norms that give a level of respect to the position of President of the United States. Here, it creates a bizarre situation where serious people like Durbin and Schumer talk issues and Trump responds with bullying name calling and distortion in tweets.

It is entirely right that the foreign leaders and the Democratic leaders keep their own dignity and not get down to his level. That leaves the media to call him out for lowering the office. It might be that unelected Democrats - especially Democratic celebrities are the only ones in the position to respond in kind to Trump. Even then, a brief listen to talk radio shows that they live on any over the top criticism of Trump - labeling it unpatriotic, unAmerican and (ridiculously) treasonous. They act as though no one (not even them) ever attacked President Obama.

They fill every bit of air with their own voice... that way they can never be challenged. Gish galloping and then some.

You get that in his speeches. Lots of random words. It works on some people, I guess.

It might not be that she is female, but that she is British and expects a normal conversation where people actually take turns speaking and listen to what was said. Other than someone like Netanyahu, I wonder if ANY leaders get many words in edgewise.

The idea that he actually asked her to get the British press not to criticise him is incredible. I suspect it is part of his belief that any opposition to his disgusting positions and persona is all the fault of "fake news" here.
