Does Trump understand that "under oath" means he will have tell the truth whenever to Mueller? (Original Post) imanamerican63 Jan 2018 OP
It's against the law to lie to a federal agent whether you're under oath or not. WhiskeyGrinder Jan 2018 #1
Indeed, lying to Mueller even if not under oath would be "obstruction of justice". n/t PoliticAverse Jan 2018 #9

Which is why he will lie to Mueller under the assumption that he (Trump) is smart enough to successfully fool Mueller.

Based on reality, since he has fooled a big chunk of the country.

I’m pretty sure at this point it’s not possible for him to. If lying lost him ten votes and telling the truth gained him twenty, he’ll lose voters. He can’t help it.

But now that he has passed his physical with flying colors, he cannot fall back on hearing problems or cognitive difficulties. What will happen when he starts to lose concentration after fifteen minutes? What will happen when Mueller does not kiss his ass and tell him he is the most wonderful human to have ever lived? 239 Lite is not going to like the interview very much.

Or under oath before a grand jury with no attorney present - in other words, he'd be a ham sandwich. So Trump is actually taking the easier option.

Donald Trump says whatever he thinks will get him through the moment. If he ever sits before Mueller (not guaranteed), expect him to lie his ass off.
